SOUTH CENTRAL – LOESS GEOLOGY TOUR

Another of the Association’s outstanding “Geology Tours”will concentrate a one day, eight hour [ceu] trip emphasizing the various strata in the loess deposit areas of south central Nebraska. The tour will include stops at the “Archie” discovery site; the Brooks Farm; Bignell Hill; Buzzard’s Roost; Devils Gap, Heftle Quarry and Eustis Ash Pit. The tour will begin at the North Platte Holiday Express with check in at 7:30 a.m. CDT departing promptly at 8:00 a.m. and will return at approximately 4:45 p.m. The tour is coordinated by Dr. Robert J. Tobin and assisted by staff of the UNL Conservation and Survey School of Natural Resources.

NORTH CENTRAL NEBRASKA GEOLOGY TOUR

This one day, eight hour [ceu] “Geology Tour” will focus on geology and water resources of sediment and sedimentary rock formations ranging in age from the recent to the upper Cretaceous in parts of Brown, Rock, Keya Paha, Boyd, Holt Knox and Antelope counties in north central Nebraska. The tour will begin at the Ainsworth Super 8 Motel with check in at 7:30 a.m. CDT departing promptly at 8:00 a.m. and will return at approximately 4:45 p.m. The tour is coordinated by Dr. Robert F. Diffendal, Professor, UNL Conservation and Survey, School of Natural Resources.

SUB MOTORS AND CONTROLS WORKSHOP

This one day, six hour [ceu] program is designed to provide basic electrical and power distribution knowledge; single phase motor construction and starting; three phase motor characteristics; large submersible motor theory and applications; and, field installation and troubleshooting for submersible motors. The program will begin at the conference training center located in the lower level of the Blue Cross Building [1233 Lincoln Mall, Lincoln] with check in at 8:00 a.m. CDT and the program beginning at 8:30. The workshop will conclude with completion of evaluations at 3:45 p.m. Training will be conducted by David Kill and Terry Jordan, ITT Water Technology, Inc.


NOTES: You must include your check with the completed registration form and all registrations must be postmarked no later than ten days prior to the event for which you are registering. Cancellations received for any event will be fully refunded if received not less than three days prior to the event. Detailed directions to departure points and hotel accommodations which may be available should you wish will be furnished with registration confirmation.
